Magni Asgeirsson received a lot of fan support on the TV show Rock Star: Supernova, and even made it into the final four. Born in Iceland, he is no stranger to the stage spotlight as he has released multiple albums with various bands in his home country. In fact, while stepping in as frontman of the band A Moti Sol he also has enjoyed multiple gold records.

Q: Which bands and/or musicians have influenced your musical career the most?

MA: My first favorite was Metallica and therefore the whole RSSN (Rock Star Supernova) experience was so special for me - getting to jam with Jason Newsted!!! Then I got hooked on grunge - Pearl jam and all that. Today - It's Eddie Vedder and Bono that I look up to the most.

Q: What were some of the best "behind the scenes" action that the producers left out of the final version of Rock Star Supernova?

MA: Jam sessions, pool parties and some really good fights ended up on the cutting room floor.

Q: Were you surprised, despite his talent, that Supernova chose Lukas? In our humble opinion, you, Toby, and Storm were vastly superior.

MA: No - not at all - I was surprised that I got that far and then I was surprised that I lost to Toby ;) - we all knew from week two that Lukas was the best fit - He IS Tommy's baby brother after all...

Q: Do you plan on releasing a solo CD in the near future?

MA: I plan on doing that later this year - the first singles are free for downloads on myspace.com/magnirocks

Q: Your fans consistently vote your MySpace profile into the top 10 of the various awards listed at MyRockinProfile.com Has the support of your fans surprised you at all?

MA: I am amazed every day with the support and love I get from strangers - It's humbling and strange at the same time.

Q: How has your tour of North America been progressing? Do you plan to tour the United States again in the near future?

MA: I'm looking at a lot of things... stay tuned

Q: Do you have a ritual for keeping your vocal chords healthy, such as drinking honey or using any other remedies?

MA: Tea and honey always work up to a point but mostly it's all about taking care of your body and keeping the whole rock and roll lifestyle at a minimal

Q: Other than making music, what are some things that you enjoy doing?

MA: Hanging out with my son is my favorite thing in the world!
