Wombat

A professor at a small college in Arizona recently made the bold claim to his students that "...humans are three gene clicks away from being wombats." While it hasn't been verified, it seems that he convinced his students to agree by giving them a one week extension on a report that was due. Although his claim is being taken for truth by many grad students hoping to make a big splash in their final paper, it is of interest to note that he's an English professor and not involved in science at all. Regardless, it goes without saying that the human-wombat relationship may be three small gene clicks for humans, but it would be three giant gene clicks for a wombat.
