Liam Sullivan

You may know Liam Sullivan from his work on the TV show "8 Simple Rules...," his role in the film The Convent, or his portrayal of Kelly (among other characters) in the videos available on his website LiamShow.com Speaking of which, make sure to check out his latest video "txt msg brkup" and listen to the hilarious song included in it.

Q: Who has impacted your comedic life the most?

LS: Mike Myers and the Kids in the Hall. Also my friends. They give me so many ideas while we're shooting, they're so funny. Megahn Perry, Pam Cook, Eduardo Cisneros to name a few.

Q: What's a moment in your life that you would love to relive?

LS: The first time I wrote a sketch all by myself and it killed. I was so happy that I could write an idea and execute it well. It was a sketch called The Penis Monologues, a parody of the Vagina Monologues. It was kind of a turning point. It gave me a lot of confidence to keep writing my own stuff instead of just acting in other people's stuff.

Q: When was the last time someone broke your heart?

LS: A long time ago, 1999, and there was heartache on both sides. It was really sad. But everything worked out because we realized we were both better off apart from each other. I mean, eventually we realized that. For a while I was a mess.

Q: Many artists claim that they perform their best under the influence. Is performing buzzed truly helpful or truly a hindrance?

LS: It doesn't really make me feel good about the performance if I'm buzzed, plus I don't remember anything. But I did perform once as Kelly in a club where everyone was buzzed and so was I and it was pretty funny because I forgot some lyrics and made it into a ‘bit'. It worked in that situation.

Q: Which top celebrity needs a serious ass kicking?

LS: Kelly. She can be such a betch.

Q: What's a new popular culture trend that needs to be exterminated immediately?

LS: I'm guilty of it all the time, but poor grammar and spelling suck. B-R-A-K-E? That's in your car, dummy!

Q: What's the worst thing an audience member has ever said during one of your sets?

LS: If they don't laugh, I haven't done my job. That's all I care about.

Q: Who's someone you'd be very happy to never see again?

LS: There was this state trooper who confiscated my Frisbee at the Esplanade in Boston once because it was ‘too dangerous'. We hadn't even hit anybody with it yet.

Q: Where can we catch more of you in 2007?

LS: You can listen to Sirius Alt Nation, I did an interview with Keith on that and they play Kelly's songs a lot. MTV, Logo, and Fuse are all playing the Shoes video on TV and online. I'll be in a new TV show this summer called I Hate My 30s on VH1. Kelly makes a guest appearance. I'm doing my live Liam Show at colleges too. liamshow.com has all the links, Kelly Tshirts and undies, and you can download my videos for free there.

Q: We say wombat and you say.....

LS: wom betch!
